Matthew Powell

Matthew Powell is the Artistic Director of the BalletNova Center for Dance, He received his training at the School of American Ballet, and danced professionally with Pacific Northwest Ballet, Kansas City Ballet, San Francisco Opera, and more. Powell's ballet master credits include Royal New Zealand Ballet, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, Slovak National Ballet, and the Oklahoma City Ballet. His teaching credits include The Juilliard School, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Rock School for Dance Education, Ballet Hispanico, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Paul Taylor American Modern Dance, Broadway Dance Center, and more.

Lindy Mandradjieff

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Lindy received the majority of her training on full scholarship at the School of American Ballet (SAB), the official school of New York City Ballet. At age 17, Lindy began her professional career with the San Francisco Ballet before joining The New York City Ballet, where she was regarded by critics as one of the hardest working dancers of her time.

Ross Katen

Ross Katen is originally from Oregon, and has been trained at Westside Dance Academy, The Portland Ballet, Arts & Communication Magnet Academy, The Juilliard School, Nashville Ballet, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, and at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance. Ross graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2013 with a BFA in Dance. After graduating, Ross joined the Limón Dance Company performing works by Jose Limón, Carla Maxwell, Seán Curran, and Rodrigo Pederneiras. Other credits include work by Alex Ketley, Mark Morris, Donald McKayle, John Magnus, Iain Rowe, Chase Brock, Chihiro Shimizu and Chuck Wilt.

Brooke Pierotti

Coming to us from 24 Seven, Brooke Pierotti trained in dance at the School of the Arts in San Francisco, and at UC Irvine. Brooke is a founding member of The Dance Company of San Francisco, a principal dancer in Martha Kelly-Fierro's modern company, Altered Modalities, and was a company member of Sonya Tayeh Dance. Brooke travels extensively to dance, teach, and create award-winning choreography in her dramatic and passionate signature style.

Bonnie Boiter-Jolley

Bonnie performed principal roles in numerous productions including Balanchine's Serenade, Who Cares?, and Valse Fantasie. She has danced with Wideman Davis Dance and Donald Byrd's Spectrum Dance Theatre in Seattle, Washington. In addition to her position as the Director of Ballet at Columbia City Jazz School, Bonnie teaches at the USC Dance Conservatory and is a soloist with the Columbia City Ballet where she is currently in her seventh season.

Abby McDowell

After attended the Professional Division of Pacific Northwest Ballet School and went on to dance for the Atlanta Ballet. She later received a company position at The Georgia Ballet where she performed many soloist and principal roles. Abby is currently a soloist with the Columbia City Ballet, where she enjoys performing roles such as The Snow Queen and Arabian Coffee in his production of The Nutcracker
